Community Grants
Junior Welfare Association gave out $4,000 in grants to community organizations in Macon County that we believe align to our vision to improve the economic, educational, and social conditions in the Greater Decatur area.
All Macon County organizations that provide service and assistance to the community are encouraged to apply. View some of this year's past recipients below.

Grant Guidelines and FAQs
Who can apply?
JWA community grants are available to organizations serving Macon County and working to improve the economic, educational and social well-being of our community.
What can grant funds support?
Grants of up to $1,000 may be used to support projects, programs or initiatives that provide meaningful service or assistance to individuals and families in Macon County.
What happens after I apply?
JWA will review all applications following the deadline. Grant finalists will be invited to attend JWA’s October meeting to briefly present their project or initiative and answer questions from members.
When will decisions be made?
Following finalist presentations, JWA members will select the organizations receiving 2026 community grants. Award recipients will be notified following the selection process.
